I am writing today to squeeze in a word of support to possibly the cutest concept I've seen in a while...
I was handed a postcard somewhere around town the other day last week - up to even a few months ago I would have ignored it and swooshed by with music in my ears - but part of my taking life at a slower pace has been to stop for a nano-second, acknowledge this human being standing in the bitter -1 degrees and say 'thank you, but no thank you.' And it turns out the smile on this person's face was so genuine that it propelled me to take the card afterall as a gesture of encouragement.
And I'm glad I did.
By the time I got to unpacking my things from all the moving, with spirits a bit beaten down by the mighty inevitable flu of the season, I found this card again at the bottom of my bag this afternoon...and simply a glance at it was enough to warm up my spirits again...
As the picture shows, it is a glove for two!!
